We're hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to build the interfaces our customers interact with every day. From interactive Gantt charts to real-time collaborative quote builders, the Basis front end is where complex data becomes approachable.

You'll work in a modern Next.js codebase using TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and a component library built on top of Base UI. Our users range from estimators who live in spreadsheets all day to executives who just want a clear dashboard, so design sensibility and attention to detail are key.

This role involves close partnership with our Product Designer and backend engineers. You'll have significant influence over our component architecture and UI patterns.

What you’ll do

Build and maintain React components in a Next.js App Router codebase with TypeScript
Implement complex interactive views including Gantt timelines, cost tables, and Kanban boards
Own the front-end component library and establish patterns for consistent UI across the platform
Integrate with REST APIs and manage client-side state for real-time quote editing
Optimize performance for data-heavy views with virtualization and efficient re-renders
Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability of critical user workflows

What we’re looking for

5+ years building production web applications with React and TypeScript
Deep experience with Next.js (App Router preferred) and modern CSS (Tailwind or CSS-in-JS)
Track record of building complex, data-rich UIs that are both performant and accessible
Experience with state management patterns for collaborative or real-time applications
Strong eye for design and ability to translate Figma specs into pixel-perfect implementations
Comfort working directly with designers, PMs, and backend engineers in a small team
